Betsy was born in 1787 in Berkeley Cnty, VA, the daughter of Matthias Gossett Jr. and Mary Garner.

She died in 1850. The place is not known.

Her husband was Perrigrin "Percy" Mahew, who she married on 29 AUG 1807 in Berkeley Cnty, VA. Their only known child was Hezekiah (1808-1888).
