He died in 1849 in La Gro, Wabash, IN.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Susan Maria Hager, who he married on 29 MAY 1836 in Hancock Cnty, IN. Their two known children were Mary E (1842->1897) and William (c1848->1897).

His second wife was Sarah Preston, who he married on 11 OCT 1825 in Brown Cnty, OH. Their two known children were John William (?-?) and Lucinda (?-?).
