Abraham was born on 21 JUL 1812 in Ohio, the son of John "Jack" Gossett Jr and Mary "Polly" Eyler.[Note 2]

He died on 25 SEP 1863 in Salem Twp, Warren, OH.

His wife was Barbara Fenner, who he married on 20 JUL 1837 in Highland Cnty, OH. Their seven known children were Rachel E. (1838-1916), Elizabeth (1840-1917), Franklin (1841-1850), William "Marion" (1842-1883), James M. (c1847-<1919), Mary M. (1848-1924) and Susan "Sue" (c1852-?).
