His wife was Sarah Johnston, who he married on 24 NOV 1836 in Jefferson Cnty, OH. Their four known children were John Thomas (1837-1874), Elizabeth Jane (1840-?), Nancy Ann (1843-?) and Mary "Adeline" (1846-1930).
