Matthias was born on 06 MAY 1798 in Clark Cnty, KY, the son of JACOB GOSSETT and MARY SARAH DUNHAM.[Note 2]
He died on 23 DEC 1874 in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery, KY.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was REBECCA JUDY, who he married on 21 NOV 1816 in Clark Cnty, KY. Their four known children were MARTIN JUDY (1817-1864), Jacob Dunham (1818-1897), Elizabeth Ann (1821-1863) and Sarah Jane (1825-1898).
His second wife was Frances "Fannie" Tyler, who he married in AFT 1862 in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery, KY. They had no known children.
